Is there an EIGHTH Harry Potter book coming our way?
I about popped a gasket when I read this story; although it could be a wait of TEN YEARS (I know, I know, keep breathing), it would be well worth the wait, don’t you think?
Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling has strongly hinted for the first time that she could write an eighth book in the series.
Rowling, 42, admits she has ‘weak moments’ when she feels she will pen another novel about the boy wizard.

However, if an eighth novel were to be written, Rowling concedes it is unlikely that Harry would be the central character.
She finished the seventh book in the series – Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows – last January.
At the time she thought she was ending a 17-year association with the boy wizard.
But in an interview with Time magazine, which put Rowling at No 3 in its Person Of The Year list, she said: “There have been times since finishing, weak moments, when I’ve said ‘Yeah, all right’ to the eighth novel. “If - and it’s a big if - I ever write an eighth book, I doubt that Harry would be the central character. I feel I’ve already told his story.
“But these are big ifs. Let’s give it ten years.”
In the meantime, Rowling is working on two writing projects – an adult novel and a “political fairy tale” – and is involved in charity work.
So! What do you think: good idea, bad idea? What do you think her story would be about if Harry was not the central character? I would love to see how Ron and Hermione turned out, or perhaps a novel about the original Order of the Phoenix and all their adventures….maybe a History of Hogwarts….the possibilities are endless, really!

i would love to read an eighth novel. it could be about Harry’s kid(s) and Hogwarts….that would be cool.

o0o I would LOVE to read an eighth novel about the original Order of the Phoenix! That would be splinded. We would get to know James and Lily a little better and such. Oh that would be awesome.

It would be great to read an eighth Harry Potter novel.
I think the main focus should be on his children and their adventures at Hogwarts, and following in their father’s footsteps.
Harry and Ginny Potter, as well as Ron and Hermione Weasley, should be huge focuses in the novel as well, but not the main focuses.
Can’t wait to find out if there will be another novel coming our way!

OMG she soo has to write another book. i wish it wouldn’t take 10 years, i can’t wait that long!! It so has to be about the kids and their adventures at hogwarts following in their parents footsteps and getting into trouble. I SO CAN’T WAIT!!!

I SAY SHE DOES IT. she HAS to make harry the main character. come on, it’d be amazing! think about it, a whole other book about the trio and their families. especially the weasleys. come on, fred just died. whats george feeling?! i think it’d be an amazing book like all the rest and she should go for it. i’d buy it.

yea i would love to read an 8th book i was always wonder what would happen next i think you should well im from united states of america and i took a trip to england and i saw where you got the idea to write about harry potter and so i went in the cafe and i saw the table you were sitting at so i sat down and i got a idea and that night i wort in my notebook a story about a girl who find out she is adopted when she turns 16 and how she finds her birth mother i hope to get it published somday. :)

I would absolutely DIE if she came out with another one. I cried once I finished reading Deathly Hallows, not because it was so sad…. but because the series was over, and I wouldn’t get to read another Harry Potter book for the first time.

I think its a great idea to write more harry potter books, i just can’t get enough of them. I would think that the eighth book (if she does it) would be about maybe one of harry’s kids. and another threat to the wizarding world. and about there time at hogwarts. And i would also like to see more about teddy lupin. Also i would like to see harry us the deathly hallow to maybe use the stone to talk to dumbledore or his parents. and also see harry has a famous quidttch player.

I would like to see book # eight about Harry, Ron, and Hermoine as adults forming a new order of the Pheonix against all the remaining members of The Dark Lord. for a new twist an excellent idea would be to find out the dark lord had a child.

I WOULD love 2 READ AN 8TH BOOK. I STARTED CRYING WHEN I READ THE “W8 10 YEARS” PART. I WANNA NO WAT HAPPENED 2 EVERY1. AND WAT HAPPENS 2 GINNY AND HARRY POTTER (ITS SO WEIRD NOT 2 CALL HER WEASLEY) AND RON AND HERMIONE WEASLEY (SAME W/ HERMIONE)’S KIDS.

i think an eighth book is a great idea, there are so many ways to go with a new book though, i think a great idea would be Sirius Black’s childhood or something of the sort, save an encyclopedia for another time, i’m all for another adventure!

(www.speedbumpstudios.com/chapters/JPHEC.pdf) is a definate wanna be I cant get into this book, and many kids wont understand it as the wording is to complex at least jk rowling put it in childrens wording. If this book was published it would be the flop of the series.

ohhh i would love to reed a 8th book mabe it could be about vouldermort son or somthingor harry works at the school and his kids go there and there is some big secret in hogworts or harry is try to keep his kids safe because he douse not want them to folow in his foot steps because harry lived such a dangrese life but his kids just cant help it its in there bloud and danger just finds them.p.s good luck and i would by a book that went like that i could just see it harry potter and the hogworts return

I think there will be another book but I think J.K. will go with Teddy as a main character. It fits her theme of orphans growing up with exemplary talent. Although I would like to see Albus as the main character because he seems to be going more along the lines of Harry’s personality whereas James takes after James and Lily after Ginny.
