According to an Australian newspaper, Daniel Radcliffe has unfortunately taken up smoking….and not only has he taken it up, but he’s up to twenty (or more!) cigarettes a day. Seems that every time they finish filming a scene on “Half Blood Prince” , Daniel lights up. Emma Watson and Rupert Grint have been trying to tell him how unhealthy smoking is, but so far he’s not listening.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be in IMAX

From the official IMAX press release:
Our release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is scheduled for November, and we expect that as with Harry Potter 5, certain sections of the film such as the finale will be presented in IMAX 3D. We are currently working on adding another film for release in September or October and look forward to announcing this addition to our 2008 slate.

JK Rowling speaks out against homophobia

In an interview given to Edinburgh University’s Student newspaper, JK Rowling defines what homophobia means to her as well as the thought process that went into outing Dumbledore as a gay man:
“Homophobia is a fear of people loving, more than it is of the sexual act,” she said.
“There seems to be an innate distaste for the love involved, which I find absolutely extraordinary.
