My favorite Harry Potter fan fiction at the moment

Every once in a while, I like to share some of the wonderful (well, and some NOT so wonderful) Harry Potter fan fiction that I’m reading. Here we go:

Harry Potter and the First Year: “Severus Snape nearly killed Remus Lupin on their first trip on the Hogwarts Express.
It was an accident, of course. A terrible […]

JK Rowling says she is okay with fan fiction

JK Rowling says that she is totally okay with Harry Potter fan fiction, as long it doesn’t contain any racism or pornography (that shoots down quite a bit, I think!).
JK ROWLING has given the go-ahead to copycat writers posting “fan fiction” sequels to Harry Potter on the internet.
The author will not take legal action […]

There are some seriously fantastic Harry Potter fan fiction stories out there, folks

Here are some of the Harry Potter fan fiction stories that I’ve come across in the past week that I’ve really enjoyed.

Second, Loyalty, a story that you should read with some tissues nearby. It’s quite long, but very worth […]

Has Harry Potter fan fiction already predicted the ending?

Interesting article on what role Harry Potter fan fiction is taking as we reach the final book of the Potter series:
Might the hive mind of fanfiction predict the plot of the seventh Harry Potter?
We’ll know in 2 days. At least four books (see below) aggregate the predictions for the final episode in the Potter series.

The rise of Harry Potter fan fiction

Interesting article on how the Harry Potter series has spawned a whole new genre of fan fiction.
Once upon a time, a young mother wrote a story which grew and grew until it took on a life of its own. Soon nobody remembered that she had been the author; the story belonged to everyone and it […]

Possible clues and evidence for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Ooh! Ooh! Here are some possible speculations as to what’s going in the last book:
The last word is “scar.”
Hogwarts headmaster Dumbledore, killed in Book 6, really is dead, and won’t be resurrected.

Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger (Harry’s best friends) will love happily ever after.
Severus Snape, even though he killed Dumbledore, is a good guy.

All this […]
