Emma Watson talks about voice acting

Premiere of The Tale of Despereaux

Actress Emma Watson gave a great interview in which she talked about the different acting skills she had to bring to the table in order to play Princess Pea in “The Tale of Despereaux.” Here’s an excerpt:

“It took me a little bit of time [to get used to it]. My performance in the film is quite physical because I’m being kidnapped, and there’s a rat in my room, and whatever. It was hard to try to get all of that into my voice. It was fun. I was actually given a toy Despereaux I could speak to as a substitute.”

I can just see her yelling at a toy mouse in the studio, can’t you? I hope we get some video clips of that!
