Join the all day Harry Potter readathon!
In honor of the tenth anniversary of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Scholastic will be hosting an all day Harry Potter readathon September 23rd at Scholastic’s headquarters in New York City.
The event will start bright and early at 8 AM, with people taking turns reading the entire book all the way through. The first 100 people to show up will get a free special edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone along with a little souvenir. Plus, when it’s your turn to read, you get to do it sitting in the very same throne that J. K. Rowling sat in when she was at Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall (sort of like the one pictured below). Cool, huh?
For those of us who can’t make it to the event, there will be a live Webcast covering it. I’ll have more updates as they become available.
