Emma Thompson has been cut from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Well, we kind of knew this one was coming. Emma Thompson, who plays Hogwarts Divination professor Sybill Trelawney, has been cut from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. That makes quite a few characters that have been cut, including:
- Fleur Delacour
- Bill Weasley
- Percy Weasley
- Both of the Gaunts
- Sybill Trelawney
- Hepzibah Smith
I *think* that’s everyone; if I missed someone, let me know. I am not too upset with Trelawney being cut, I AM quite miffed about Bill Weasley and Fleur being neatly sacked, since I felt that they made up a HUGE part of Deathly Hallows. However, I haven’t been disappointed with a Harry Potter movie yet, so here’s hoping.

yeah, the only part where she comes in is where harry realizes she was the one who made the prophecy and when draco threw her out of the room of requirement when whe was depositing he sherry bottles. love her though. and emma Thompson.
do you realize a lot of HP actors/actresses have been in classic films, like the classics, the books?
when dan was really young, he was little david coppe=r field, and maggie smith was someone in that movie. maggie smith’s son was mr rochester (heart) in a jane eyre movie. emma thompson was a sister in sence and sencabilty. anybody else?hmm…

there are others but i’m too busy to look them up lol… i <3 trelawny! y do they have 2 cut all these characters for this movie- pointless- and are they just gonna miraculously appear in the 7th films? i just hope she’s there for the battle of hogwarts and the crystal balls!!!!

Yes, you forgot to mention another character that was cut - Moaning Myrtle.
