JK Rowling states that she had suicidal thoughts
JK Rowling has publicly stated that she once had suicidal thoughts when suffering from poverty (this was before she started writing the Harry Potter books). Here’s what she has to say about that time in her life:
“We’re talking suicidal thoughts here, we’re not talking ‘I’m a little bit miserable,’” Rowling said.
“Mid-twenties life circumstances were poor and I really plummeted. The thing that made me go for help . . . was probably my daughter.
“She was something that earthed me, grounded me, and I thought, this isn’t right, this can’t be right, she cannot grow up with me in this state.”

I know what she’s talking about; I myself struggled with depression when our family was going through a rough time for a few years, and it took medication for me to get to feeling like myself again. can you possible imagine if Jk rowling actually killed herself?!?!?!?!? no HP!!! like, at all!!!!! of course its sad when anybody kills themselves, but JK rowling!

well luckily she got through it… i cannot imagine life without harry potter– the past like 7 years would have been completely changed!!
… so no one kill yourself!! who knows– you could be the next jk rowling!! (ok that sound very preacher-like but w/e)
