Sad news: Maggie Smith is battling cancer

Sad news today that Dame Maggie Smith, who plays Minerva McGonagall, is battling breast cancer. She’s already had one tumor removed and is undergoing chemo; here’s prayers and good thoughts that she will come through all of this!!!

    dan’s[wo]man!!! that was terrible!! let’s just hope everything goes all right… my hopes and prayers go out to her. but she’s strong– she DOES play McGonagall (may I remind you she leads an army of armor)… she’ll get through this!

    OMG thats sooo sad!!! I think that Maggie Smith is a BRILLIANT actor!!(minerva mcgonagall is my favourite characters in the series!) Please be ok! My best wishes are with you!!!!!!!!!

She won’t die…she’s Maggie Smith…i mean the woman doesn’t even look her age of i think 74…hell i thought she was like 50….this won’t affect her….get well soon Maggie!!!

    Our house-elves & ourselves are praying for your continued health. My familiars, my cats, watch your movies with me. You will be best known as Minerva McGonagall of the Harry Potter films. Us older fans, such as I, will remember the younger films you made in your heydays of acting. May you get healthier and show this disease called “breast cancer” you are a survivor.
