More on the possible split of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

There’s an article in today’s Daily Telegraph about the possible splitting into two parts of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Quite a few of you have already let me know that yes, you DO think this is a good idea, and apparently the idea is gaining some momentum. Here’s a brief excerpt from the article from one of the film series’ producers:

The only negative of splitting the book into two films, says Barron, “is that people could possibly perceive it as being one last chance at cashing in. But the real positive, if we were to do that, would be that we wouldn’t have quite the battle we always have of ‘How do you compress all that book into just over two hours of screen time?’

I think the only people who would think this is an effort at “cashing in” would be people who are NOT fans of the books/movies. The rest of us would be insanely happy to have not just two more movies to look forward to, but three!

I like the fact of two movies beacuse they can get the whole book in then! I mean the last book is so crucial!! however i dont like the fact that it will be like 2 last harry potter movies! i would have liked the fact of watching the whole movie at the one time..! Hopefully it will be like that on the DVD =]
