JK Rowling says ending Harry Potter was more painful than her divorce

There’s a really good article in the Times today in which JK Rowling shares how ending the Harry Potter series was more painful then her divorce from her first husband:

Splitting with Harry Potter was more painful than getting divorced, a tearful JK Rowling said today.

“It has been the worst break-up of my life - far worse than splitting up with any man,” Rowling, 42, told an audience in London as she received a South Bank Show Award for outstanding achievement.
