Harry Potter book is element of tragic Amanda Knox murder case
Wow, this is really sad:
The fictional character Harry Potter has now crept into the international murder case involving University of Washington student Amanda Knox.
The Times of London reported that Knox told authorities she read one of the Potter novels at her boyfriend’s home the night her roommate, Meredith Kercher, was stabbed to death.
Authorities said the book was instead found at the crime scene in the cottage that Knox and Kercher shared.
Knox, her former boyfriend and another man are being held in Italy but have not been charged.
Meanwhile, police said they have sent a new knife found Tuesday in a bush near the slaying scene for forensic testing in Rome.
Investigators said they still believe a kitchen knife found earlier in the home of Knox’s ex-boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, is the weapon used in the killing.
