Alan Rickman goes shopping in West London
Alan Rickman is probably one of the most underestimated actors in acting today, at least in my opinion. Here he is doing a little shopping in West London:
Let’s see, what is Alan up to these days? According to IMDB, quite a lot. Here’s what I was able to dig up:
Sweeney Todd: Alan Rickman stars as Judge Turpin, this movie comes out December 21, 2007:
Based on the 19th century legend of Sweeney Todd and the hit Broadway musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, Sweeney Todd a.k.a Benjamin Barker returns to London after being sent away by Judge Turpin with the help of a sailor, Anthony Hope. He opens a barber shop above Mrs. Lovett’s Meat Pie Shop were she sells “the worst pies in London.” With the help of Mrs. Lovett, Todd tries to rid of all the people who have ever done him wrong and hopes to be reunited with his daughter, Joanna, who is now Judge Turpin’s ward.
Bottle Shock: Alan Rickman stars as Steven Spurrier; this movie is in production. Also starring: Eliza Dushku, Danny DeVito, Bill Pullman, Bradley Whitford, and more. It’s the story behind the birth of the Napa wine industry; hopefully, it will be more interesting than it sounds.

Have been an Alan Rickman fan since Die Hard. Looking forward to seeing the new Sweeney Todd movie due to be released in December. Thought that it is an interesting pairing with him and Johnny Depp. I have been trying to find out something about Noble Son. I saw mention of it at Tribeca Film Festival but have not seen anything on general release so I am not sure if it is already out or not. Any takers on this question?
