Have you read Deathly Hallows all the way through yet?

I had baseball games (state tournament) all day/night Friday and Saturday, so I wasn’t able to get my hands on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows until late Sat. night. Haven’t read much of it yet, but plan on making up for lost time Sunday.

SO! Have you read it yet? What do you think so far?

    Read it,and of course loved it!! Happy with the ending,kind of………would have liked to have more info on more characters,as to how their lives went on,especially after the battle. But as always a page turner. Although very sad that it is over!!!!!

    what was special about lily potter’s eyes? i don’t recall JKR ever really saying anything about them.except at the end when albus potter was being described as the only child that had inherited her eyes. if you know what was so important, please write back. thank you

    Finished it. I like the book as broken down, individual plot points. However, on a whole, it was lucklustre, not very well organised and had an especially weak ending.

    what was special about lily potter’s eyes?

    Um, they’re only mentioned in all 6 previous books, many characters tell Harry some variation on “you have your mother’s eyes”. Often.

    I loved it. Quite a fitting ending all in all. Quibbles are outweighed by praises. I thought the climax was great and I really loved it that Harry offered Voldemort/Riddle the chance for redemption, even though he knew that it was unlikely that Riddle would take it, or even understand what Harry was trying to explain to him.

    Lily’s Eyes — ^^^^SPOLERS^^^^

    The significance of the eyes came with Snape’s fascination with Lily and her eyes. Snape’s last words were “Look…at…me” — so he could see Lily’s eyes before he died.

    Spent all fo Saturday reading and was surprised at some of the twists. But on the whole, rather predictable. I agree with Jay that there was a lot of information about what happens to the characters after the battle that I would like to know. But that’s where I guess fan fiction will take us. Brian, I loved your take on Snape’s last words. I hadn’t even thought of that before you said it.

    To be honest, I was kind of disappointed with the ending. I was fully prepared for Harry to die. I’m not sure I like a happy ending. Just my opinion, though.

    I liked the book, definately wasnt the best, i liked order of the phoenix the best, but she did a good job.

    ~~~~~~~~~SPOILERS~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I was soooo mad when i read that Tonks and Lupin died. If you’re going to kill off characters dont have them get married and have a kid!!!!!
    i guess its supposed to be significant with Harry, but i didnt like that she killed them, They were my favorite characters!!! overall, good book.
